Pen To Rohmer

11 May 2010

The spread above is from another amazing Pictoplasma publication, Pen To Paper.

The 240 p. hardcover book "presents a fine selection of the most adventurous images from a global scene of artists, working mainly with a pen or analogue techniques such as water color, ink or collage."

Besides work by Allison Schulnik, Shoboshobo, Allyson Mellberg Taylor, John Casey, Luke Ramsey, Eric Shaw, Seth Scriver, Joey Haley and Mark DeLong, it features also illustrations of Envelop member Stéphan Prigent aka Kerozen (Paris, FR).

You might recognize the right page as the drawing which his What are you doing?-apron and Main Chaude-oven glove are based on. The latter was published in the US design magazine Dwell some time ago.

Kerozen also contributed to a zine called Rhomer Est Mort. I don't have any publisher's or distribution info yet, but you can find some fabulous impressions through the blog of Collection, a interesting and beautiful new french visual arts magazine released May 2010.
