Brian Duffy, the man who shot the cover of David Bowie’s 1973 album Aladdin Sane has died one month ago now. 

Born in the East End of London, Duffy studied painting at St Martin’s School of Art in the 1950s, but changed his mind and switched to a fashion design course.

Duffy joined Vogue magazine in 1957 to work as a fashion photographer. He shot celebrities, musicians and models throughout the 1960s and 1970s, including Black Sabbath, Blondie and John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Duffy was 76.

I think you'll find that the woman was an hourly paid exam inogiilatvr (rather than an external examiner, involved in assessment) ie a role rather less taxing than that of a lunchtime superviser - but the papers didn't publish this as it spoilt the story.Great CAD poem in response though....
